Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) is calling on all bands to give them an opportunity to perform at Malaysia’s largest free-for-all arts festival!
In conjunction with Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival (YSDAF) 2018 with Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), themed You, Me + The Arts, YSB is hosting a battle of the bands to find one talented band to win RM 2,000 and perform at YSDAF finale.
YSDAF is a festival which celebrates all things arts which promises to be engaging as well as educational as it plans to showcase and raise awareness on social issues. With this year’s theme, YSD and KLPAC are choosing to focus and emphasize on the relationship between people and arts. Being under YSD’s community and health pillar, they have expanded their horizon to work with communities such as the disabled, the underprivileged, the education sector and more.
“YSDAF2018 will be the first of this magnitude in the country to showcase issues affecting society in an entertaining and captivating way, giving a voice to those who need to be heard, with important takeaways that are sure to linger on in every festival-goer’s mind long after the festival is over.” said YSD Chairman Tun Musa Hitam.
Open to children and adults, be prepared to enjoy a wide array of arts and fun from an almost-all Malaysian team.
Having kickstarted in February, the festival will go out with a bang with a festival finale on the 18th and 19th June.
